Our June ROTM is brought to us from Vancouver Island by Jack, with his 2011 Subaru Forester. With all the fine touch mods done, our favorite is his custom powder coated bronze NSR4, which perfectly matches his Konig rims that brings the look of his rig all together.
Give us a quick INTRO- who are you? Where do you live?
Hey, my name's Jack, a recent University of Victoria graduate, who has been riding since I was first introduced to a bike at three years old.
Give us a quick overview of your rig.
This beautiful 2011 Subaru Forester was purchased brand new from the dealership by my grandparents. After they passed away, it was lovingly passed down to me, making it much more than just a vehicle.
Tell us about any special modifications that make your rig stand out.
Many modifications have been done to pump this car out, such as new reupholstered leather seats, Konig wheels, a cat-back exhaust, coil over shocks, a new sound system, and of course, a beefy hitch to mate to the sturdy rack. My rack has been custom powder coated in bronze, to match the colour of my wheels.
What is the best road trip you’ve taken your rig on?
The best road trip I have taken my rig on, would be the time I travelled to Tofino with a large group of friends.
What would be your next dream road trip?
I would love to drive to Moab, Utah, for some unique rocky trails and some real heat!
How long have you had your North Shore Rack?
I have had my rack for four years.
In your travels, what is your favorite riding location/favorite trail?
My favourite riding location is the dark side of Seymour mountain, with no specific trail in mind, as they are all steep and gnarly.
Coffee, beer or tea?
I have recently been getting into Coffee for the kick, but I am a Tea person through and through.
Shuttle/road trip essential tunes?
Some hardcore rock, notably “Killing In the Name” by Rage against the Machine.
