Our January Rig of the Month is a special one, presented by the one and only R-Dog, Ryan Howard, who doesn’t need much of an introduction as he’s fire on the bike, and an infectious personality off of it. Through Trek’s C3 Project, R-Dog is always putting together edits that are simply fun, and make you want to get on your bike and ride. R-Dog's Rig is a "soft top" 1988 Chevy, and happens to be the company vehicle of Ride or Die. This boat of a rig was featured in the film Roadkills, where Ryan and the gang embarked on a BC road trip epic.
Give us a quick INTRO- who are you? Where do you live?
My name is Ryan Howard from Aptos, CA. But I spend the summer in Canada because we all know that’s the place to be for quality riding during the summer months.
Give us a quick overview of your rig.
Our rig is the Ride or Die company vehicle. 1988 Chevy 2500
Tell us about any special modifications that make your rig stand out.
Who needs a roof?
What is the best road trip you’ve taken your rig on?
Well, we bought this truck for the Ride or Die film we produced this summer called Roadkills. Worth every penny.
What would be your next dream road trip?
Hell, I’d do this trip all over again because I don't think we can top it. Best trip of our lives.
How long have you had your North Shore Rack?
The rack on the company vehicle is about a year old. But the rack I had before was probably 5 years old. Still got it on my beater truck at home! Mint!
In your travels, what is your favorite riding location/favorite trail?
Ahhh favorite spot on our trip, that’s a tough one. I’m going to have to say Revelstoke. Love everything about that place!
Coffee, beer or tea?
Coffee before the ride, beers after!
Shuttle/road trip essential tunes?
ROCK AND ROLL
